Marketing Committee Requirements

Blog Editor

  1. Edit blog posts for grammar and ensure they have a sufficient title ( and proper tags, the correct author, and a photo - I will show you in a video how to do this)

  2. Write your own blog posts. You have a lot more freedom with this position to write about things you feel excited or intrigued but should revolve around mental health, body image, etc. You’re only required to write at least 1 blog post to be in the club but this position does not require you to write an extensive amount more than 1 blog posts.

Social Media Manager

  1. Try to repost a quote or fun thing about mental health or body positivity everyday on our story. You will be responsible for making it look pleasing too. You can add gifs or stickers to make it appealing. Also, posting interactive activities like questions or polls is something we would like to see more of.

  2. You will also be partially responsible for answering dms. It could be prospective members or new clubs asking questions about times of meetings or co-sponsorships in which you may not know the answer so you should either refer them to a head of the committee they are interested in or contact Lily and Jenna and they will get back to you about the inquiry.

Website Manager

  1. Contact auxiliary boards to acquire the required 1 blog post from each member (e.g. contact the head of events to send you x amount of blog posts from their committee members by the end of the semester)

  2. You will be responsible for upholding the aesthetics of the website. For the most part, you just needs to post the blogs from other people but if you want to make the website prettier or have suggestions about a section we could add for example, we would love to discuss that. We would just like to clarify that the website isn’t fully done yet but we have the basics down so we are open to hearing suggestions.

Graphic Designer

  1. Understand and analyze the aesthetics of the Instagram. We need each post to match a pastel and bubbly aesthetic including blues, purples, and pinks. We prefer more simple cover photos if we are posting a thread. We possibly could transition to more of a professional aesthetics (to attract a bigger male audience) or maybe muted pastel colors.

  2. We would like to reach a quota of 1000 followers this semester so Lily and Jenna increase the following by following random people. We would like if you can try to reach this quota (try following people under the followers of for example @overheardbaruch or @baruchwib). Something that may help us reach this quota is to repost some of our content on your personal instagrams so we do encourage that.
